2019 Membership Survey

The 2019 Australian Service Conference asked the Australian General Service Office (AGSO) to survey the membership during 2019.

Al-Anon and Alateen members in Australia are invited to participate in the Membership Survey that will be available online for one month, opening on Monday 14th October 2019 and closing on Friday 22nd November 2019.

Background and Purpose of the Survey:

In 2015 Al-Anon Family Group members in Australia were surveyed to obtain information about our membership in order to spread the Al-Anon message of hope to anyone affected by someone’s drinking. In 2019 members are again being asked to complete an individual online survey.

The purpose of this survey is to find out about current numbers of members, why they attend, how long they have attended, how well the program is working in their lives, their involvement in service work and sponsorship. This will help our Public Information initiatives to be effective and to ensure that the Al-Anon message is available to all who need it.

How to participate:

We have extended the 2019 Membership Survey closing date to Friday 22nd November 2019  and we are inviting all Al-Anon Family Group members to complete the Survey before the new closing date:

NOTE: In QUESTION 6 (or 7*) you also need to put zero next to the types of meeting you DON'T attend, otherwise you can't move to the next question. [* depending on your answer to Question 2]

After you have completed the survey, you may also be able to help another member with the online survey if they do not have access to a computer, tablet or smart phone, or have other technology challenges.

In addition, please encourage your group members and Al-Anon friends to complete the survey too so that we can have the most comprehensive view of our membership.
